The Story of USIN THE BEGINNING |

George and Miki discovered that they shared a lot of the same old fashion values and beliefs about the world we live in today. Nature and animals were and still are a major part of our lives. Honesty and integrity are foremost in everything we do. Miki brought her love for exotic birds and the need for avian education into their relationship. George brought his love for superior wood working and a brilliant knowledge of computers into the relationship. As time went on Miki and George traveled to bird functions or enjoyed weekends of camping and projects that they both enjoyed. They could be found at bird shows, camping trips, or simply spending the whole day in the garage working on plans for a better “Mouse trap”. Early in the year of 2002 Miki was hand raising a Yellow-naped Amazon chick. For the past 20 years this was the normal time of year for Miki to arrive anywhere and everywhere with a chick or two that needed to be fed. It was during this time that George learned to feed chicks and came to know just how captivating the world of aviculture can be. One chick in particular decided to imprint on George. This is when George became “Daddy” to his pet Amazon Oscar. They are now inseparable and enjoy all the happiness and perils of Amazon ownership. George was always asked to fix the weekly blunders that I made on my computers. I can raise a chick from day one without a single problem but can’t seem to find what file I stored the latest parrot records in. George developed an interest in the new mutations that were being developed in the Parrotlet fancy. Miki often jokes that it was natural for George to be driven to the genetics part of aviculture. He comes from a background of chemistry so he loves to mix things and see what happens. As the weeks and months went by George and Miki realized there was a need for quality bird supplies and exhibitor equipment, such as show boxes. Miki already had a great reputation for raising quality birds. George had the workmanship distinction that was needed in the bird world. So……
with all the years of combined skills and talent, a new company was formed.
It was appropriately named “HEAVENS HEATHENS,”
because of the two species of birds that George and Miki share their home
and lives with. We also offer some products that were developed by us and have been found to be unique to breeders and exhibitors in the bird fancy. Check out our Heavens Heathens exclusive items. HEAVENS HEATHENS stands on the excellent reputation of our birds and products |
